We woke up on Thanksgiving morning to snow!! I'm not sure who was more excited - me or the Mouse. After breakfast, Mr Ruby, TR, the Mouse and I all donned our cold weather gear and went for a short walk in the woods. As you can see, Mr Ruby also built a 'snano-man'. (Either that or these are two really enormous children.)
Look really closely - the snowman is there!
Doctors P and X worked really hard to prepare a sumptuous Thanksgiving feast of turkey, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, mashed potato, brussels sprouts, sausage or liver and bacon rolls and gravy, followed by pumpkin pie.
I really like Thanksgiving, and not just because I get to eat a delicious roast turkey meal more than once a year. It is fun to participate in something from outside our usual calendar of celebrations and it's good to somehow sneak yourself into somebody else's traditions. Also, I really, really like pumpkin pie!
In the afternoon, the Mouse and Terrier900 put on a ballet show. The Mouse didn't take too kindly to being choreographed, but she did enjoy dressing up and was pleased to learn a few new dance moves from her cousin.
TR and Nicki eagerly await the opening scene of the Thanksgiving ballet
